What Is SureFIRE
A revolution is taking place in Fire Suppression. Developed from solid rocket fuel technology, SureFIRE Condensed Aerosol Fire Extinguishing Systems, are ecologically friendly and the most cost effective alternative to Halon, Inert Gases, Halocarbons and Chemical Powder Fire Extinguishing. They are intended for extinguishing fires of solid combustible materials, flammable liquids, gases and electrical equipment - Class A, B, C & E.
Every SureFIRE generator consists of a body (steel or stainless steel), an aerosol forming compound (solid), a chemical coolant (solid) and a system of activation (thermal or electrical or both). The heart of the generator is an aerosol forming compound. The generators are unpressurised.
SureFIRE generators correspond to modern international norms for condensed aerosol generators: ISO 15779:2011 and MSC.1/Circ.1270 (IMO). The underlying aerosol technology is listed for Class A, B, C fires by UL, ULC, CSIRO, ECB, and many others.
The family of SureFIRE generators includes the units with weight of aerosol forming compound from 20 grams to 6300 grams. The extinguishing density of aerosol discharged from SureFIRE generators is about 90 g/m3 for A-Class fires and 75 g/m3 for B-Class fires.
How SureFIRE Works
SureFIRE Condensed Aerosol Fire Suppression System is a new class of fixed fire suppression systems unmatched in the industry. The principle extinguishing action employed by SureFire is unique - a special solid compound within a non-pressurized canister, when electrically or thermally activated, produces aerosol that has an exceptional fire extinguishing characteristics.
The aerosol consists of a mixture of micron-sized dry chemical particles and gas. Micron-sized aerosol particles exhibit gas-like three dimensional qualities that allow the agent to rapidly distribute throughout the enclosure and reach even concealed and shielded locations.
Upon being released into a protected area, homogeneous distribution is achieved in a matter of seconds, attacking the fire both chemically and physically, and extinguishing it almost instantly, while the long suspension time helps to prevent fire from re-ignition.
SureFIRE Aerosol, extinguishes fire by inhibiting the chain chemical reaction in combustion at a molecular level - it removes the flame free radicals and extinguishes fire without depleting oxygen. The advantages of SureFIRE over the competitive products are a wide range of operating temperatures (-50*C...+90*C) and high strength under impact loads and vibration stress.

Highest Performance
3 times more effective than Halon - At a maximum design concentration of 100g per m3, aerosol exhibits equal or better extinguishing properties than Halon 1301 at 330g per m3. Aerosol has the lowest extinguishing concentration amongst commercially available agents.
Non-pressurized containers
Non-pressurized canisters are light and safe to transport, and require no additional pipes, nozzles or distribution equipment. They cannot leak or burst or deteriorate, and can be stored for up to 10 years without maintenance.
Spontaneous extinguishing
Aerosol controls and extinguishes fire directly at the source the moment the fire has started.
Cost effectiveness
SureFIRE Aerosol is less expensive compared to most other gaseous systems (Halon replacements) making it more attractive to the end user.
Environmentally friendly
Aerosol has been certified as having 0% Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP) and 0% Global Warming Potential (GWP). It is officially listed by the US Environmental Protection Authority under its Halon replacement 'Significant New Alternatives Program' (SNAP).
Non-toxic & Non-corrosive
No harmful effect on humans or property - Unlike some Halon alternatives, aerosol does not produce any aggressive acids such as hydrogen fluoride or chlorine or bromide nor depletes oxygen to suppress fire. Also, aerosol causes no damage to delicate equipment, engines or electrical components.

Compact & Weight Saving - the space required is only a fraction of the space needed for other competing systems(1/40th of inert gases and 1/10th of other currently available systems).
Fast install & recommission
Canisters are electrically (or automatically thermally) activated. Simple wiring and plug-in connectors reduce installation times. If discharged, new canisters may be re-installed in minutes affording minimal downtime.

"SureFIRE DOPING"s and "SureFIRE TOR"s condensed aerosol generators come in three types of design: axial-discharge, radial-discharge and reverse-discharge. SureFIRE BURAN
"SureFIRE BURAN"s are impulse, fast acting dry powder suppression systems intended for extinguishing fires of solid combustible materials, flammable liquids, gases and electrical equipment - Class A, B, C & E.
The family of "SureFIRE BURAN"s includes about 20 units with the weights of dry powder from 300 grams to 50 kg. They are hermetically sealed, unpressurised, strong and lightweight units easy for installation and transportation. The latest units can have a combined activation system - electrical and thermal activation in a single device.
